TMAG5995_HARMSEN Movement of Water and Chemicals in the Environment

Course Description: This course covers theoretical and practical aspects of fluid flow and chemical transport in surface and groundwater systems.  The course will be centered on the application of the computer model MIKE SHE.  MIKE SHE is a numerical simulation model capable of simulating integrated water flow and chemical transport in overland surface runoff, river systems, unsaturated soil and groundwater systems.  Model configuration is partially based on GIS maps; consequently a portion of the course will focus on the use of the GIS software ArcView.
