Attendance Comments

Attendance will be converted to a current score out of 20 points according to the formula in the syllabus:

• Attendance Score T = 20 - (#absences)*1.5 - (#late + #early exit)*0.5
• At the end point of 30 lectures, this is equivalent to the formula T = (2/3)(#Present) + (1/6)*(#late + #early exit) - (5/6)*(#Absent).
• The score that appears in Moodle is (T/Tmax)*20; it will equal your correct score by the final day of the class; before that time, it is a conservative approximation.
