Responsibilities for Group Project
It is important that each member of the group make a significant contribution to the project. Group members will organize the distribution of tasks themselves. These tasks and assignments will be documented as part of the final written project report.
If you think that anyone in your group is not meeting their obligations, then you should send an email to the student(s) in question stating your position, cc'd to your assigned project instructor, with a printed copy submitted directly in person. The email should state that the project will continue with or without the contribution of the delinquent member, and that this will be documented in the final project report.
If you feel that you have been wrongly identified as a delinquent member, you should reply to the accusing members by email, with cc and printed copy to the assigned project instructor. If the problem cannot be resolved, then it is recommended to arrange a meeting with all of the group members and the assigned project instructor.
Although the overall assessment of the final project will apply to all group members, discretion will be used to assign differential scores to individual project members if warranted by evidence. Failure to provide written evidence of group problems in writing with sufficient advance time before the project due date will result in all members receiving the same final grade without exception.
