distribution and consumption, with emphasis on the
global dependency on non-renewable sources and its
social and environmental consequences. Discussion
of the interrelationship between the public energy
policy and contemporary issues at the local and
global levels such as climate change, environmental
pollution, depletion of natural resources,
environmental justice, international tensions and
conflicts, and public health.
