This course is offered by the department of Civil Engineering. It is a mandatory course for civil engineering students and counts as an elective for the certificate in Environmental Engineering. The course is intended to discuss water quality and treatment methods, wastewater characteristics and pollution control processes, pollution effects on receiving water, ocean outfall, air pollution control, and solid waste management.
