This is a course primarily designed for graduate students whose major concentration is Industrial
Engineering, Management Systems, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Engineering. It is appropriate
for engineering graduate students with interests in advanced stochastic processes and queueing models
applied to manufacturing and service industries. The purpose of the course is to prepare each student
for (i) the modeling of queueing systems; (ii) mastering the basic principles for modeling stochastic
manufacturing and service systems, and (iii) conducting meritorious research in queueing systems. This
course is an elective course in the M.S. and the M.E. in Industrial Engineering.
